Linda O. Robinson, a Republican, is running against Democrat Alexis Stadler for the Union County Board of Education’s at-large seat in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. Both appear in the official county election notice.

Background

Her campaign biography says she grew up in Charlotte and moved to Union County in 2002. It lists a mathematics degree from UNC-Greensboro, a master’s degree in education focused on curriculum and instruction, and National Board Certification.

Robinson describes a teaching career that included Kennedy Middle School, programs for pregnant and at-risk teenagers, and Porter Ridge High School. She says she became Porter Ridge’s mathematics department chair in 2005 and retired in 2017.

Her campaign also lists volunteer leadership with veterans’ auxiliaries and literacy work with Sweet Union Republican Women.

Policy priorities

On her issues page, Robinson calls for listening directly to teachers about needed resources and protecting jobs closest to students during budget cuts.

She advocates sharing effective practices from higher-achieving schools with those needing more support, reducing gaps in student opportunity and expanding community and business involvement through tutoring, fundraising and grant writing.

These positions are Robinson’s stated proposals. Unverified school performance and budget figures have been omitted.
