Union County Public Schools students can compete to have their artwork featured on the district's official 2026 holiday card, with entries due Friday, Oct. 30, at 5 p.m.
Any enrolled UCPS student, kindergarten through 12th grade, may submit one original entry through electronic forms on the district's contest page. The theme is "Happy Holidays/Season's Greetings." Entries must reflect holiday or winter imagery, cannot depict specific religious holidays and cannot be generated by artificial intelligence (AI). The finished design must fit 8.5 inches wide by 6 inches tall.
The district will pick one elementary winner and one secondary winner. Each winner's name, grade and school will be printed on the card. Winners also receive a personalized gift and recognition on the UCPS website and social media.
The top five elementary finalists and top five secondary finalists will be invited to a celebration on Friday, Dec. 4. Students, parents, staff and community members can vote on those 10 finalists from Monday, Nov. 16, through Friday, Nov. 20.
