Union County residents who know a standout volunteer have until Friday, Nov. 6, to nominate that person for the 2026 Man & Woman of the Year Award.
The award committee opened nominations Monday, Oct. 12, The Enquirer Journal reported. Two county residents will be selected as the year's top volunteers.
The award is based strictly on volunteerism, not on what a person does as part of their job or on financial contributions, the committee said in a press release. Grass-roots involvement and leadership within organizations are what count. Recipients should have worked with multiple nonprofits over multiple years. All nominees must be current Union County residents.
Nonprofits, fellow volunteers and friends can submit nominations. Forms are available on the committee's Facebook page. Completed forms can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to the address listed on the form.
