Blu Innovation Aesthetics, a nurse practitioner-owned medical aesthetics practice, opens in downtown Waxhaw with a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11.

Mayor Murray is scheduled to cut the ribbon at 318 E. South Main St., Unit G, according to the Downtown Waxhaw Association. A grand opening open house follows from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with tours of the space, refreshments and grand opening giveaways.

The practice is owned by Tiffany Franklin, a family nurse practitioner and certified trichologist, according to the business's social media profiles. Franklin introduced herself in a post to a Facebook community group, telling neighbors she was excited to welcome them to Blu Innovation Aesthetics in downtown Waxhaw.

The Downtown Waxhaw Association describes the practice as focused on personalized care. Its service list includes hair and scalp evaluations, hair restoration, cosmetic injectables, advanced skincare, intimate wellness, vitamin injections and other wellness services. Hair restoration and cosmetic injectables are among the specialties Franklin brings to Main Street.

The opening joins a stretch of health and wellness arrivals in the Waxhaw area. Plumped, a Charlotte-based med spa, opened a second location at 216D W. North Main St. on July 27, The Charlotte Weekly reported. That practice offers aesthetic treatments and wellness services including vitamin injections.

Tryon Medical Partners also celebrated a ribbon cutting at its new office at 1621 South Providence Road, Suite 370, on July 28, according to The Charlotte Weekly. The practice marked its first Union County location with a $2,500 donation to the Downtown Waxhaw Association.

Guests at the Sept. 11 open house can meet Franklin and her team and learn about the practice's services. Blu Innovation Aesthetics can be reached at 980-287-7240 or at bluinnovationaesthetics.com.
