Sun Valley led 14-6 at halftime and broke the game open in the second half. The Spartans improved to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Senior running back Josh Bell scored on a two-yard run in the fourth quarter, Josiah Rivera Laney added a six-yard touchdown run, and junior R.J. Sherrod returned a special teams score.
The Sun Valley defense sacked Davis multiple times, according to the Enquirer Journal, which has the full game account.
Sun Valley head coach Ryan Smith told the Enquirer Journal his team still has work ahead despite the blowout win. "We still got a lot of things to fix," Smith said after the game. "We talked all week about fixing ourselves."

The Cavaliers have allowed 34 or more points in five of their seven games.
Cuthbertson faces three more conference opponents to close the regular season. The Cavaliers travel to Weddington on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. Road games at Charlotte Catholic on Oct. 23 and a home finale against Marvin Ridge on Oct. 30 follow.
