Provisions Waxhaw earned a perfect 100 on its latest health inspection from Union County Public Health.
The breakfast-and-lunch restaurant at 107 W. South Main St. in downtown Waxhaw was the only local establishment inspected during the Sept. 10–16 cycle, according to scores published by Charlotte Media Group on Thursday, Sept. 17. Provisions also operates a retail shop and coffee bar.
Two other establishments across Union County matched that perfect mark: Cathy's Coffee in Indian Trail and Gate Store in Stallings. All three earned a Grade A under North Carolina's 100-point inspection scale, where scores of 90 to 100 receive the top letter grade. Establishments must post their grade card where customers can see it.
The Sept. 10–16 cycle covered 21 food-service locations in Indian Trail, Monroe, Stallings and Waxhaw. No establishments in Weddington, Marvin or Wesley Chapel appeared on the list.
Most scores fell comfortably in the A range. The lone exception was The Skinny Cook at 1643 W. Franklin St. in Monroe, which received an 84.5, a Grade B. Ala Azteca Butcher Shop in Monroe scored 89.5, the second-lowest mark in the cycle but still within the A range.
Scores in Indian Trail ranged from 92.5 at DJ's Diner to Cathy's Coffee's perfect 100. Stallings locations, including two Harris Teeter stores and a McDonald's, all scored between 94 and 100.
The full list of scores is available in the Charlotte Media Group report.
